Hello folks
I collect old Primus and Optimus camping stoves, oh god you say, not another anorak, well no not quite.
I refurbish them (they are usually old and none runners) and re-sell them and all the profit I make go to the local charities where I live.
As an example, this is tipcal of how they come to me.

Very rusty and well used state.

Resized the pics to 680 X 460.

If you have any old liquid (not gas) camping stoves (any type, any condition) kicking around which you no longer have a use for, please drop me a pm if you would like to donate them to a charitable cause, this is not for my profit. I will also buy them from you at a reasonable price as long as there is some profit in it for charity.
The stove you see above is my user stove and is not for sale but I have others just as good.

Models of interest.
Optimus:- from 8R, all the 111 range, Svea, all stoves no matter what condition, etc,etc
Primus :- all stoves no matter what the age or condition

i too have a collection, but still use them as they are better than some of the modern stuff, i like especially the optimus nova which has an alloy pump instead of the msr plastic one that tends to break

good on ya though for what you do with the old un's

Hello Andy
Thanks, you are quite correct, some folks just don't know how good the old stuff is compared to the new.
